Approach
I worked for many years as a matrimonial lawyer and have extensive experience of helping people dealing with the trauma of the break-up of relationships. I am trained as a Family Mediator and Couples Counsellor. I help people with alcohol addictions and have worked at an alcohol and drugs agency in Leeds. I also help people with issues around sexuality and I counsel people for the organization Mesmac.
I set up my own practice in 1997as a Stress Manager and worked with individuals and with groups. I now also offer Life Coaching. I trained to be a Therapeutic Counsellor at Park Lane College Leeds in 2001/2002. The training was in the relational approach, which is a humanistic, person-centred, integrative approach.
My approach is therefore eclectic, drawing on my skills as is most appropriate and beneficial for the individual client. I always work in a way that is respectful and encouraging for the client. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I abide by their code of ethics. |
